It is a common notion that anxiety is only what you feel when you are nervous. The truth is that there are different levels of anxiety and some of the more extreme cases are actually classified under mental disorders.

The everyday tension or nervousness that people experience is the normal level of anxiety. This is usually felt or brought about by the things that we experience such as stress and pressure. Having a big presentation, starting something new and other usual things can all be sources of a normal amount of nervousness.

On the other hand a little more than the regular dose of this can be a problem for people. There are people while experience large amounts of anxiety in their daily lives.  Imagine how difficult it can be to always be anxious over something. For those who go through this they may experience what is known as panic attacks. They often have heightened anxiety symptoms paired with extreme fear and or feelings of losing control or being doomed. These can happen anytime and anywhere without any specific reason. The conditions under which these occur can become the triggers for following attacks.

For those with extreme anxiety they are classified with severe anxiety disorder. Aside from the panic attacks they may also have others symptoms; such as avoiding being around people for fear of having an attack in public and being embarrassed, depression and thoughts of taking their own life.

A condition such as this should never be left unattended and is always best brought to the attention of a professional. Seeking help and treating this can help avoid any untoward incidents and can help those with this condition to live a more normal life.
