Want To Know The Secret To Great Weight Loss?
In my workplace there are over 10000 staff, probably almost half of them are female too. And possibly half of the female population are currently or have been on some sort of weight loss plan. The weight loss industry must be an absolute goldmine – in every office I’m involved in somebody is ‘on a diet’ and thinks that this time they will be successful, often though their efforts are in vain and the whole process starts again when the next event is on the horizon – summer holiday, a special birthday or perhaps Christmas? How do I know this? Well, I am one of them and I have had high hopes of weight loss on many occasions – this time I needed to lose weight for my summer holiday and the dread of baring my pasty looking overweight body on a beach is scaring me into losing those unwanted pounds, and on this occasion my diet of choice is the Atkins diet – well I haven’t done this before and lots and lots of people have had success on this regime so why not me? The Atkins diet for those who are novices like me is a diet which restricts carbohydrates and encourages you to eat lots of protein rich foods such as chicken, beef, fish etc. It also does not seem to restrict high fat food – such as fresh cream and full fat mayonnaise – I can see some gorgeous beef stroganoff on the horizon. Well I’m armed with my atkins diet book and I’ve done my ‘big shop’ so I’m ready to give it a go – wish me luck and I’ll report back to tell you about my success – or lack of it!
