Exercise is considered essential to keep yourself fit and healthy. Usually people do casual sort of exercises at home, take walks, jog etc. and some people who are more serious about keeping healthy, like to join a gym. Either way, exercises can be roughly categorized into cardio exercise and strength training. And to obtain faster and more effective results, exercise equipment is the best choice that gets your body into a fit and healthy shape.

Weight training or more commonly known as strength training, basically helps you to build muscle strength. However, it also helps you to maintain the results of cardio exercise.  Strength training exercise equipments includes weight machines, resisting or balancing equipment, free weights etc. Free weights come in a large variety of shapes and sizes to choose from. For example, the round weights can effectively be placed at the end of barbells. The use of free weights provides a full body muscle workout. Similarly weight machines are also used for weight training, but people usually prefer free weights over weight training.

Weight equipment or weight machines usually come with stacks of incremental weights that allow your muscles to develop as they become comfortable with lifting certain amounts of weight. Furthermore, it is more risk free and easier to use as compared to free weights. The weights are usually attached to a pulley and a pin can be inserted between blocks of weight you wish to lift. However, when it come to lifting heaver weights, it’s always important to consult a professional trainer.

Similarly, some exercise machines help to strengthen your body by using its weight for resistance. It is not necessary for these machines to involve weights.  Rather they include chin-up bars for triceps and biceps, crunch machines to focus mainly on the abs and many more.
