They were given individual counseling sessions followed by 14 group sessions, and thereafter six fortnightly sessions, and then monthly sessions. Other options were available after 18 meses. La behavioral intention was a self-care, controlling food and daily activities.

The HCG Oral Drops intervention focused on reducing consumption of fat, sugar and alcohol. The caloric intake goal was to enable the individual to lose weight, although Weight Loss discouraged over 0.9 kg a week. Weight and blood pressure measured every six months by staff blinded regarding the treatment assigned. Follow up was over 90%.

The control group of 596 patients gradually increased their weight average somewhat less than 2 kg over 36 months. The intervention group lost an average of 4.4 kg during the first six months, but weight gradually increased so that at 36 months the average was only 0.2 kg below the starting weight, but 2 kg below the control group.

The intervention group had a mean reduction systolic blood pressure by 2.7 mmHg under control at six months, and 0.9 mmHg at 36 months. blood pressure was associated strongly with extent and duration of Hcg Drops Weight loss. For example, blood pressure at 36 months was much more small in those who achieved and maintained a loss weight of at least 4.4 kg, however this reduction was minimal even increased in those who did not lose weight or gained weight.    * In those in which Weight Loss at six and 36 months was 2.5 kg or less, there was no change in blood pressure.

    * In those who initially lost 4.5 kg or more within six months but where the Weight Loss at 36 months was less than 2.5 kg, the initial reduction in blood pressure not remained.

    * In those who suffered a Weight Loss of at least 4.5 kg in six months and maintained this loss, there was an initial fall average systolic and diastolic blood pressure 8 or 9 mmHg.
