Ever since I received a tricycle as my birthday gift at the age of three, moving around at great speed became my passion. As I grew older, I wanted to experience the thrill of bicycle riding and started cajoling my parents to buy me a bicycle.

They wanted me to learn balancing before purchasing it and hence my training began in right earnest. The seat of the cycle used in the trial was a bit high so I just could not reach the pedals with my short feet at the age of eight years. Many falls and bruises later, I somehow managed to balance it without sitting. As my height grew, I could maneuver it without any problems. Nowadays kids get bicycles with a two small rear wheels for balancing and learning cycle riding becomes a lot easier.

My cycle became my constant companion for going to school and later even to college. I rode a bicycle till I graduated! During post graduation I got my first scooter. Now many years have passed and I use my car or scooter but I still long for those long bicycle rides with friends.

If all of us decide to use cycles for going to nearby places, it will give us good exercise as well as help in reducing air pollution. It will also save precious fuel whose stocks are depleting at a fast rate. Even electric bicycles provide a green alternative using clean electricity to power the bike. You can also find an array of electric bike parts if you do choose to ride such a bike.

Sedentary lifestyles and riding petrol vehicles are responsible for many health related problems like obesity, diabetes faced by our generation. Turning to cycling can be really beneficial to all of us.
